Casual Day 05 September 2025

The Casual Day project by the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) is a great way to support and make a difference towards persons living with disabilities. 

This project has been running for over 30 years and it has become a very important part of Uitkoms and its loved ones since the project is aimed at raising awareness about the challenges and potential of persons living with a disability. 

‘This year’s theme is ”Beyond the label” -Embracing Unity Through Inclusion and Diversity Where Being You Makes a Difference. This theme is calling on the public to truly see, appreciate , acknowledge and respect persons with disabilities as complete human beings – equal to all human beings and entitled to the same human  rights and freedoms.  This is a call to move beyond labels and perceptions that reduce a person to their disability.
